Our story

Winds in the east, there's a mist coming in...
The opening lines of Mary Poppins - The Musical. A very special show for us both individually, and although we didn’t realise it at the time, a show that would impact our lives in such a positive and beautiful way until this very day.
Whilst individually the show was career defining, for us as a couple, Mary Poppins was the forming of a friendship. It was fleeting glances in a rehearsal mirror, excited butterflies at the sign-in sheet when we learned if the other was in the building, smiles in the wings, little treats and gifts left at the stage door and of course the good old-fashioned cuppa tea, cake and dinner dates between shows.
Fast forward 20 years and this foundation of friendship is the bedrock of our relationship which has seen us navigate highs, lows and everything in between.
Over the course of the last 20 years we have been blessed to be surrounded by family and friends who have loved us, supported us, guided us and taught us. It is all of you who we want to celebrate at GravidFest, bringing together an eclectic mix of people from every aspect of our lives, many of which will be meeting for the first time.

Thank you for being part of our big day, and thank you for being a part of our journey over the last 20 years.

Now, pass us a glass of fizz and let's celebrate!!!
Gravid?
It started as a joke years ago during a trip to Gay-Days-At-Disney back in 2010! Two couples challenged themselves to find the tackiest gifts in Florida for each other.

Lee & Ian vs Graham & David. We dubbed them 'Team Lee-an' and thus 'Team Gravid' was born... and somehow it stuck with us.

It almost became an option for our marital names - Graham Gravid & David Gravid - has a ring about it, no?
Needless to say we decided to stick with our own names!
